Phyllis Milks @ a 5-Day Club®
in Evart
What a wonderful summer! CEF of Central MI had sixteen 5-Day Clubs,
five Vacation Bible Schools and had a “Bible Story Tent” in four
fairs! PTL!!! The gospel was shared with 690 children with 27
decisions for Christ! Children like Joe who at a Vacation Bible
School in Barryton bowed his head and prayed, “Jesus, please come
into my heart”. Joe wanted a Bible after he prayed with me and was
seen “holding it close” after his new life had begun! What a
blessing to serve Christ and see children come to the open arms of a
loving Savior! I want to send a BIG “THANK YOU” to Phyllis Milks
(Clare) who traveled with me all summer, helped teach; and she was
such a blessing to me and to the ministry! God bless you, Phyllis!!!
CYIA™
in Nairobi, Kenya
I have been approved to return to Africa in
December to help with Christian Youth in Action™
in Nairobi! Lord willing, I will be staying into
January 2005 and going into Uganda to help with the CYIA program
there. I want to thank Maranatha Baptist Church of Mt. Pleasant
for raising over $1500, through their Vacation Bible School, to
help send me on this missions trip! Would you please pray that
the Lord would use this trip for His glory?
A Special Message from Cheryl...
Would you please pray
for a matter of great impact on the future of our ministry right now?
It directly affects our ability to bring the children unto Jesus.
It is wonderful,
the number of opportunities we have been able to unearth through
hard work and determination in the grace of Christ during the
past year. The opportunities for outreach have been
enormous! The only perplexity is that they are vastly
outpacing available resources.
You may be
unaware that I am
not being compensated nor reimbursed for my expenses. This has in no
way affected my thankfulness to be used of God in the way He has.
To be sure, the hearts of so many children have been gladdened
and changed by the Great News that Jesus loves them and has laid
down His life for them.
I hope I never
have to turn down
any opportunities while awaiting the funds necessary to continue.
I can't imagine a better place to invest my resources than in the
future of the Kingdom of God. These children are
that future. The rewards for that investment are eternal.
And so I have invested in every way I can, but my efforts are not
enough for the burden which lies waiting. Could you please be my
"yokefellow" and share this burden with me, by investing your
finances, your prayers and even by lending a hand? I
promise by the grace of God to reap for you a bounteous harvest
for the day of His return in Glory.
It is my sincere
desire that I will be able to continue the successes of the
recent past, and not be compelled to return to
part-time work in the fall. Please pray for wisdom to be given to Jim and me as
we sincerely and patiently seek God’s direction in these matters. THANK YOU!!

Good News Clubs®
 ood
News Clubs have begun in Mt. Pleasant and Clare! There were 41
children that came to our first school-release class (children
dismissed during the day for one hour of Bible instruction) of the
new school year @ First Baptist Church of Clare! Three children
responded to the gospel! PTL!!
I want to thank Charles Stuckert Sr.
of the Gideons who came and passed out New Testaments. What a
blessing to send the children back to Clare Elementary School with a
Bible in their hands!
Expanded Territory!
Central CEF’sâ
ministry has been expanded to five counties now! Roscommon County
has been added to Central’s Chapter! PTL!
Children’s Workers’ Conference
On Saturday, November 20th, there is going to be a CEFâ
Children’s Workers’ Conference @ Gilman Springs Baptist Camp in
Gladwin, MI from 9:00-3:00.
